Independent Team achieves first title in Pan American Games

The Independent Athletes Team that takes part in the Pan American Games based here, achieved its first gold medal today through the female duo that competed in racketball.

 
Gabriela Martínez and María Rodríguez teamed up to defeat the Argentine duet Natalia Méndez and María José Vargas with a score of 3-1 and partial scores of 11-2, 8-11, 14-12 and 11-6, to achieve the first title of this sports conglomerate.

In other results of the day, Mexico also achieved its first gold medal, both in the discipline and in the games, thanks to Conrado Moscoso’s 3-0 success over his compatriot Carlos Keller in the men’s individual final.
