Eslinda Nuñez played Huberto Solás’ Lucia, she worked in Memorias del subdesarrollo along with Tomás Gutierrez Alea, Titón, and on stage, she starred memorable staging such as Santa Camila de la Habana Vieja and La Casa de Bernarda Alba.

Her career began with Teatro Estudio. She was trained there, under the guidance of Raquel and Vicente Revuelta. This woman is a prime example of Cuban cinema and theater. Therefore, she finds it hard to select a character that has marked her career:

“I have played so many characters between cinema, theater, television, dubbing —which I have also done—; there are so many that I cannot say I choose one over the other. I am interested in all and the next character is the one I care the most.”

And her next character will be precisely one in Rudy Mora’s television series. He is one of the television producers who has trusted her over the years:

“I am amid an episode of Primer grado, a television series to be premiered soon. I play a very interesting character. She is a woman working in a Shelter for Homeless Children. I found it great to learn from this really emotional world.”

On television, we remember her in soap operas like El naranjo del patio and Rudy Mora's Doble Juego. In 2011, she was awarded with the National Film Award. However, she does not believe in minor characters; she makes them all great:

“The character I play is the one I have to defend. It is the character I want, and there is no next time for me. This is the time to do our best. Whatever the character may be, I try to enrich it."
