On September 24 to 29, the southeastern provinces of Santiago de Cuba, Granma and Guantanamo will hold the 14th TURNAT 2024, the most important event of nature tourism in the country.
In statements to the press, ECOTUR Travel Agency specialist Reina Alayo, the hosting region is home to some 16 protected areas and, therefore, a breeding ground for the promotion of this modality and a good opportunity to position Santiago de Cuba, a city privileged by its mountains and seas, as a major community and nature tourist destination.
TURNAT 2024 will include keynote lectures, a commercial exhibition fair, hiking tours, a photographic safari, scuba diving, kayaking and nautical activities, and accessible tourism, wellness and quality of life.
Addressed to tour operators, travel agencies, promoters and opinion leaders who manage nature tourism, the event is an example of Cuba's commitment to the development of responsible tourism for the joy of domestic and foreign visitors and the preservation of the island's natural heritage.
