Cuba wishes Muslims peace and prosperity as Ramadan ends

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez today congratulated Muslims through X social media on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

Rodríguez expressed Havana’s best wishes for “peace, health and prosperity, especially to the noble Palestinian people, victims of Israel’s genocide,” he wrote.

In Cuba, Ramadan, one of the commandments of the Koran, Islam’s holy book, began on the night of 28 February and ends today.

During the ninth month of the lunar calendar, Muslims abstain from eating, smoking and sex from dawn to dusk. The fast ends with Eid al-Fitr, three days of celebrations with family and friends in homes and mosques.
