The downfall of the NED: no one will cry for it
especiales

Another U.S. organization created to promote instability and chaos in the name of “democracy” has just joined the black list of the current administration in Washington.
The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) announced that, due to the freezing of public funds, more than 2,000 organizations around the world -depending on its financing- were left without support.
According to the NED, leading entities have had to lay off staff and reduce operations. In a February 25 statement, the institution admitted that the withheld funds “support almost all grants and operations.”
On its website, NED defines itself as a “non-profit, independent” organization, founded in 1983 to “promote liberal democracy.”
However, nothing could be further from the truth. This “non-governmental” agency has a long history of supporting terrorist groups, subversion contractors and media that spread “American values.”
A 2024 report by China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed that, in 2017, the NED funded 54 anti-Cuban organizations. The document details methods such as creating biased content on social networks and co-opting academics and journalists to push for supposed “democratizing reforms.”
The NED has been an effective covert operations arm of the CIA, especially in Eastern Europe. Philip Agee, a former CIA agent, stated in 1995, “Today, instead of just having the CIA operating in the shadows, they have the National Endowment for Democracy.”

Journalist Masih Alinejad received $628,000 from the NED between 2015 and 2022 to manipulate narratives and provoke protests in Iran in 2022.
Funding of Color Revolutions: support for Euromaidan in Ukraine (2013-2014), Rose Revolution in Georgia (2003), Orange Revolution in Ukraine (2004), Tulip Revolution in Kyrgyzstan (2005), Cedar Revolution in Lebanon (2005).
In the previous administration of Donald Trump, in January 2017, the NED allocated $23,208,612 for subversion against Cuba.
The Cuban Democratic Directorate (DDC), led by terrorist Orlando Gutierrez Boronat, received from the Foundation US $813,298 in 2017 alone.
As can be seen, the NED's string of destructive actions is extensive. Its eventual bankruptcy -if it comes- will only hurt subversives and terrorists who live off its funds. The peoples and sovereign governments, on the other hand, will breathe a sigh of relief.
