Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel visited economic centers in central Villa Clara province on Friday to analyze work priorities in 2024.

Accompanied by the Organization Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Roberto Morales, the head of State began his visit in Caibarién municipality, according to the Presidency of the Republic on its official X account.

Díaz-Canel met with several producers dedicated to various crops and who are an example of how much is achieved with daily work, according to the Presidency.

The president visited the La Finísima canned and vegetable mini-industry, which is highly coveted by producers in the area, who sometimes lose their crops due to high ripening.

The president arrived in the Cambaito community, where he visited the new doctor’s office, the pharmacy, the store and the primary school in the district.

Díaz-Canel spoke about the importance of the people’s participation with local residents, which is amid a transformation process.

He also visited production lines at the Proxcor joint venture that produces jams.

Díaz-Canel praised the order, discipline, cleanliness and beauty in the production facilities of the Cuba-Slovakia joint venture. “We are sure that it will be a successful business that it will benefit both parties,” he noted.

The president also visited the Grandparents’ House in Caibarién, where some twenty elderly people receive care throughout the day.

On his X account, the president shared images of his visit to the center and expressed his commitment to accompanying them, “above all at difficult times.”
