Havana, April 6 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez received Mexican philosopher and communicologist Fernando Buen Abad Domínguez at the Palace of the Revolution in Havana.
"We talked about the media war, the need to articulate our forces, and that tremendous battle of ideas that is still urgent to win," said the head of state about his conversation on Tuesday with the prominent intellectual, whom he described as "a great friend of Cuba".
A sharp and critical thinker, Buen Abad is an expert in unmasking the objectives and interests of the media, semiotic and cognitive wars with which capitalism alienates societies and provokes soft blows against systems that are not in tune with it.
The prestigious scholar, who has been visiting Cuba for several days, has been carrying out an extensive program that has included visits to science institutions, historical sites, and study centers such as the University of Havana.
