Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero held a dialogue here today with the secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China in Zhejiang, Yi Lianhong, on bilateral ties.

Both parties advocated for the strengthening of bilateral cooperation ties in different sectors ranging from trade, and investment to tourism.

It is part of the governmental projection of the two nations to seek shared development and mutual benefits.

Marrero and his delegation visited the City Brain, a technological command center in the southern city of Hangzhou, known for its innovation and for being the headquarters of leading companies in China, such as Alibaba. In another part of his visit to this province, Marrero spoke with business leaders of the China-Latin America Industrial Park (Picla) platform and learned about its particularities.

When he returned to Shanghai, he held a meeting with Dilma Rouseff, director of the New Development Bank, one of the main financial institutions of the Brics group (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).

The Cuban Prime Minister arrived yesterday in China on an official visit that includes dialogues with the main authorities of the government and the Communist Party, and business exchanges.
