Cuba's FM confirms friendship and cooperation with Cape Verde

Praia, Jan 27 (Prensa Latina) Cuba's Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez expressed his willingness to continue developing friendly relations and cooperation with Cape Verde, diplomatic sources informed on Wednesday.

In a letter sent to Rui Alberto de Figueiredo Soares, the Cuban FM congratulated him on his appointment as head of the Foreign Affairs and Communities portfolio, in addition to Defense.

Cuba and the northwestern African State will celebrate 46 years of diplomatic relations in 2021, a period in which the country contributed to the training of dozens of Cape Verdeans in different higher education specialties and provided cooperation in areas such as sports and health.

Cape Verde, meanwhile, offered its solidarity, along with the African Union, in the struggle of the Cuban people against the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba for over 60 years.
