Cuban President Receives 11 new ambassadors

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel received on Saturday in a solemn ceremony at the Palace of the Revolution -headquarters of the Government-, 11 new ambassadors, who presented their Letters of Credence.

According to the Presidency, the meetings showed the willingness to strengthen and expand bilateral relations, as well as the gratitude of this Caribbean country for the support of these nations in the fight against the economic, commercial, and financial blockade of the United States.

During the protocol ceremonies -in which the Head of State was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez-, the President assured the diplomats that they will have all the collaboration of the Government and the Foreign Ministry for the successful performance of their duties on the island.

The diplomats who presented the documentation accrediting them in their functions are Elizabeth S. Musaazi, Uganda; Chea Thireak, Cambodia; Issoufou Aicha, Niger; Milan Zachar, Slovakia; Viktor Viktorovich Koronelli, Russia; and Hajah Noor Qamar Haji Sulaiman, Brunei Darussalam (a country located in Southeast Asia).

Also participating were Tapugao Falefou, the new ambassador of Tuvalu; Khalilur Rahman, from Bangladesh; Ian Dereck Joseph Madeleine, Seychelles; Mahmoud Daifallah Hmoud, Jordan, and Chanfi Issimail, from Comoros (East Africa).
