Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel expressed his condolences on Tuesday to US activist and executive director of the Interfaith Foundation for Community Organization (IFCO), Gail Walker, over the death of his brother Richard Manson Walker.

Dear friend and colleague Gail Walker, we are sincerely sorry for your pain and that of the entire Walker family at times like this, the president wrote on the X social network, formerly Twitter.

The head of State pointed out that with Lucius (Walker), “we learned to feel that you are part of the Cuban family. Receive our hug.”

On the same platform, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez, and the president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, Fernando González, also conveyed their deepest condolences.

On her Facebook account, Gail Walker wrote on Monday about the death of her brother of a heart attack practically on the 13th anniversary eve of the death of her father Lucius Walker (1939-2010), founder of the interfaith organization Pastors for Peace.
