Cuban deputy prime minister begins official visit toTürkiye

Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz began a working visit to the Republic of Türkiye on Tuesday with the aim of deepening the historic relations between both nations and peoples, reviewing the state of economic, trade, financial and cooperation relations, examining the existing potentials for their development and continuing the political dialogue at the highest level between the two governments.
Today, the Cuban Deputy Prime Minister met with H.E. Mr. Ömer Bolat, Minister of Trade, with whom he signed an agreement establishing a bilateral Economic Agenda for the period 2024-2026; and with H.E. Mr. Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, whom he thanked for Türkiye's traditional support to the Cuban resolutions against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US against Cuba, in the context of the United Nations General Assembly. Both heads of state were accompanied by top executives of their respective institutions.
Both Turkish personalities ratified the political will of their government to work for the deepening of the economic relations of both countries, as well as expressed their disagreement with the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the US against Cuba and reiterated their position of maintaining Turkey's traditional support against the blockade in the United Nations and expressed their rejection of the application of unilateral sanctions.
Accompanying Cabrisas were the Cuban Ambassador to Türkiye , Dr. Alejandro F. Diaz Palacios, and Oscar Ramos Redondo, First Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Türkiye .
