Cuban cyclist Sierra to face today the fifth stage of the Giro d'Italia

HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 5 (ACN) Cuban cyclist Arlenis Sierra will face today the fifth stage of the Giro d'Italia Donne, one of the three most important races, where today is expected to be a proper day for the speed and power of the Cuban rider.

The section will be 126.8 kilometers (km) from Carpi to Reggio Emilia, in northern Italy, a nation where the Cuban has won many of her victories in the international elite circuit.

According to the graphic on the website of Sierra's team, the iconic Movistar Team, the route will be flat until km 80, then there will be a slightly undulating segment until km 113, where it will be flat again until the finish line.

Sierra, 29, and America's best road cyclist in the last decade, is in 24th place in the general classification, 11:30 minutes behind her teammate Annemiek Van Vleuten (Netherlands), who accumulates 8:46:33 hours.
