Cuba: September, month of good fortune, will bring about all the necessary doses

Almost by the end of the TV program Mesa Redonda, broadcasted on Monday August 30^th, D.Sc. Eduardo Martínez Díaz ratified that the Cuban population shall be vaccinated in 2021 and revealed that in September, the production of the necessary vials to fully vaccinate the population will be completed.

“Our hope is that by September, over 90% of people will be vaccinated with the first dose and by October, a high number of the entire population will be fully vaccinated. By November, all population over three years old will be fully vaccinated, including those allergic to Thimerosal and convalescents.”

At present, 48% of the Cuban population have been at least vaccinated once, which translates into 5.4 million people boast some degree of protection against the virus.

“In the coming days we would like to have a virtual meeting with the WHO representatives to present our results to them and start talking about the recognition procedure and increase transparency with them regarding on our results,” concluded the specialist.
