Cuba reports 87 new Covid-19 cases

Havana, Aug 9 (Prensa Latina) Cuba´s Public Health Ministry (MINSAP, in Spanish) on Tuesday reported 87 new Covid-19 cases and no deaths in the last few hours.

As many as 1,646 samples were analyzed at the Molecular Biology labs in order to detect the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Out of the 446 active cases in the country, 439 of them have a stable clinical progress, while seven remain in ICUs, four in seriously-ill and three in critical conditions.

After discharging 117 patients, the country´s overall recovery toll jumped to 1,099, 948.

According to MINSAP´s latest report, Cuba´s total death toll remains at 8,529.
