Havana, Sep 11 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported on Friday 42 new cases with Covid-19, while some 65 patients were discharged from hospitals over the last 24 hours, totaling 3,844 recoveries.

Cuba totals 4,593 patients with coronavirus since the pandemic emerged in the country, Dr. Francisco Duran, director of Epidemiology at MINSAP, stated at his regular press briefing today.

No deaths were reported due to Covid-19 on Thursday, so death toll remains at 106, the expert said.

On Thursday, Cuban laboratories made 7,138 PCR tests in real time, totaling 469,431 samples so far.

Dr. Duran explained that all new patients are Cubans, 41 are from indigenous transmission events and one case with a source of infection abroad.

Some 623 people are clinically stable, six are in critical health condition and 12 are seriously ill, the epidemiologist said.
