Cuba to host scientific event on extraterrestrial life

Havana Aug 25 (Prensa Latina) The possible existence of extraterrestrial life will be the focus of the upcoming Open Doors sponsored by the Cuban Academy of Sciences, which will be open to dialogue with the public, the institution informed.

The Paraninfo Hall in Old Havana will host the meeting on September 22, under the leadership of Cuban astronomer Oscar Alvarez and other guests, with the intention of generating learning and debate on unknowns and discoveries in that branch of scientific knowledge.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 20 editions with testimonies of academics and experts, where topics of interest for the updating and development of the Cuban nation are analyzed.

The Open Doors are intended for all audiences and provide the opportunity to interact and learn about the analysis and opinion of other sectors of society.
