Cuba and Spain Willing to Boost Bilateral Relations

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez met Tuesday in Havana with Spain’s ambassador to Cuba Francisco Javier Hergueta.
During the meeting, the Cuban government official reiterated his government’s willingness to further boost relations between the two nations, he wrote on X.
Rodriguez offered the Spanish diplomat support in his new mission here and said that he wished that the new ambassador’s work to contribute to the development and expansion of bilateral bonds.
Hergueta presented his credentials as ambassador appointed by Spain to the Republic of Cuba since May this year.
Cuba and Spain shared diplomatic relations since June 1902. Bilateral links favor the sectors of logistics, tourist facilities, food production, and construction.
Spain maintains a firm stance against the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.
