Colombian cyclist Higuita seeks to climb in Italian race

Rome, Mar 14 (Prensa Latina) Colombian cyclist Sergio Higuita will compete on Sunday during the fifth stage to climb positions in the Italian Tirreno-Adriatico race in which he is third, 35 seconds behind the leader, the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar.

For this purpose, Higuita will try to win or at least enter the advance squad in the 205-kilometer stretch of uneven terrain between the towns of Castellalto and Castefidardo.

Ahead of Higuita and with the same difference is the Belgian Wout Van Aert, while Spanish Mikel Landa and Colombian Nairo Quintana are in the fourth and fifth places, 38 'and 41' seconds behind the leader, respectly.

On Saturday, Pogacar showed his skills as a climber by winning the 148-kilometer section between the towns of Terni and Prati di Tivo in three hours, 49 minutes and 24 seconds.
