Bangkok, Dec 27 (Prensa Latina) The Thai Association for International Understanding on Wednesday disqualified the decision made by the previous US administration to include Cuba in the list of state sponsors of terrorism.
In a statement signed by its chairman, Krasae Chanawongse, the Association described Cuba as 'a valuable member of the United Nations', and highlighted its support for other countries in the fields of health and education, 'promoting and implementing international solidarity and cooperation.'
The Thai Association for International Understanding condemned the inclusion of the Republic of Cuba in the unilateral List of State Sponsors of Terrorism of the US Department of State, Chanawongse says.
This 'arbitrary and unilateral decision' takes place amid the fierce US economic blockade and affects the progress Cuba has made in terms of development, it notes.
The Association noted that terrorism in any form is unacceptable and unjustifiable, including those in which the United States is directly or indirectly involved.
Finally, it looked forward to the new US administration taking the necessary measures to normalize relations with Cuba.
