Cuba’s National Ballet to perform in Havana in late November
especiales
The first performance will be dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Casa Editora Abril, and the second one to Jose Marti Cultural Society’s 20th anniversary.
The program will include En las sombras de un vals, Cuba dentro de un piano, Excelsior (pas de deux), Lucia Jerez and Don Quixote ballet’s suite.
The prestigious dance company recently returned to Cuba after touring 13 Spanish cities (Madrid, Barcelona, Cuenca, Pamplona, Bilbao, Burgos, Leon, Zamora, Palencia, Oviedo, Soria, Aranda de Duero and San Sebastián), and making three performances in Oman.
Every time, the public and the critics had words of praise for the performances of Don Quixote and Swan Lake. There was also some interest in a varied program consisting of Les Sylphides, Celeste and Carmen.
