The program of this first edition will close with one of Silvio Rodríguez concerts through Havana neighborhoods. The event will be attended by Take 6 from the United States, John Potter and Brendan Walsh from the United Kingdom, Bosnian Edin Karamazov, Argentinean Arie Abramovich, Portuguese Dulce Pontes, The Back Alley Big Band from Canada. On the Cuban side there will be the Camerata Vocale Sine Nomine, Maestra Digna Guerra with Entrevoces choir, Diana Fuentes, Augusto Enríquez, Miriam Ramos, the Música Antigua Ensemble and the Orfeón Santiago.

There will be two important contests, the counter tenors and Voces A Capella. The jury in the first case will be headed by Ubail Zamora, one of the members of Sine Nomine—the only Cuban male vocal group in Cuba that includes sopranos and altos. The second contest, the president of the jury will be headed by René Baños, director of Vocal Sampling.

Both competitions are opened for national and foreign participants, with no limit of age and the finalists will be part of the two graduation shows that will be celebrated on October 7 and 14.

Les Voix Humaines program includes the workshop “Artists, we´re in business”, about the musical industry and marketing and will be conducted by British Brendan Jan Walsh at the Arte Cubano Building of the Fine Arts National Museum from September 28 to 30 and that will close with a party at Fábrica de Arte Cubano, entitled Havana Rave that will combine live classic music with DJs.

During these 24 days of tribute to the sound of the voices of the world there will be films screenings, book sales, and arts exhibits, days devoted to environment and shows for children.
