Lizt Alfonso Company to Perform in Central Cuban Province

The dancing company of Lizt Alfonso, Dance Cuba, will present its show Cuba Vibra! from today until Friday Dec 23rd at the Teatro Principal in Ciego de Avila During her stay in Ciego de Avila, about 430 kilometers east of Havana, Alfonso will give a didactic class to students on artistic education, to recall the summer workshops offered at the beginning of the last decade to children and young people.

Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba troupe received the International Spotlight Award in November, during its 9th tour of the United States, where it performed in the cities of Chicago, Lewisburg, Detroit, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, North Carolina and California.

The 25-year old company, directed by teacher and choreographer Lizt Alfonso, has performed in more than 200 cities around the world and has been well received by the public for its style of fusing elements of flamenco, ballet, contemporary dance, folklore and folk dances.
