To its vast successful record, the National Hotel of Cuba adds another award by being elected as the leader hotel of Cuba at the 23rd edition of the WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS, considered as the Oscars of the tourism industry.

The emblematic building of 85 years old, managed by Gran Caribe hotel chain, ratified its condition as the best hotel in Cuba. Hotels Florida, Iberostar Parque Central, Melia Cayo Coco, and Melia Cohiba were also among the nominees.

The WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS are granted by an expert jury who are in charge of rewarding excellence according to a wide variety of sections by regions, from hotels to travel agencies, and airlines.

Among the resorts-spa, the Paradisus Princesa del Mar in Varadero, and Paradisus Rio de Oro in Holguin were also awarded.

Jamaica won the award as best tourist destination in the Caribbean.
