The National Museum of Fine Arts this Friday inaugurated the exhibition Codex of the end of the world by the Mexican visual artist José Miguel González, with drawings about the impact of capitalism on nature.

The exhibition took place at the Universal Art Building of the museum in Havana with 10 large-format works, with which its author explores the problem of the predatory impact of capitalist societies on the environment.

The Mexican ambassador to Cuba, Miguel Ignacio Díaz, highlighted the historic collaboration between the visual arts of his country and Caribbean island through the National Museum of Fine Arts.

The exhibition shows the scenario of the end of the world, where the 500 most important transnational companies and 800 species of animals extinct since the industrial era are represented.
