The government of Trinidad and Tobago intends to expand and diversify its business in Cuba, after describing as successful the recent contact of its businessmen with those of the island, diplomatic sources informed. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dennis Moses urged companies in the country to take advantage of the existing opportunities and insert their products and services in that market, stated a note from the Cuban Embassy in Port of Spain.

He also expressed satisfaction with the positive results of the trade mission that traveled to Cuba last November in the context of the International Fair of Havana and praised the successful positioning of Trinidadian firms such as Sacha Cosmetics and Angostura Holdings Limited.

On the other hand, Moses recalled that the historic ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries benefited the people of Trinidad and Tobago with the work of professionals in the health, education, culture and sports sectors, among others.

He also highlighted the contribution of Cuba in the international fight against diseases such as dengue, Ebola and AIDS, in addition to its constant efforts to achieve world peace and the development of friendly relations among all states.
