Suriname and Cuba will exchange experiences to solve the problems of comprehensive protection of children and adolescents, diplomatic sources in the island reported today.

They will also promote a culture of communication in these topics, it was informed at the end of a meeting held in this capital between the Cuban ambassador, Manuel Rubido; and the Surinamese Minister of Justice and Police, Eugene Van Der San.

During the meeting Suriname assured its attendance to the 3rd International Conference on Childhood Protection, to be carried out from May 24 to 26 in Havana.

In this meeting will participate professionals and technicians interested in the subject with the purpose of promoting experiences.

As background the event has two other similar meetings held in the Cuban capital in 2008 and 2014, with the participation of 21 countries representing 20 offices in the world of the United Nations Children's Fund.
