Russia Rejects Falsehoods From US About its Actions in Syria

Moscow, Nov 16 (Prensa Latina) Russia rejects the falsehoods widespread by the United States regarding the Russian military campaign in the Syrian city of Aleppo, accusing Russia of attacking hospitals in that region.

'We do not know where the US State Department's spokeswoman, Elizabeth Trudeau, gets the information about attacks on hospitals in Aleppo,' said the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov.

'The repetition of rumors about the bombing of five health centers and a mobile hospital only confirm that the rhetoric of the US State Department is based on an unforgivable lie,' said the Russian officer.

'It rather seems as though Trudeau only has enough fantasy to refer to ghost hospitals. Apparently, they got tired of lying,' he said.

'No matter how much we demand it, beyond the verbal declarations, they never produce concrete proof,' he emphasized.

'The important thing is to accuse Russia now, because tomorrow there may be another person in Trudeau's position, who will never be held responsible for the accusations issued by her,' he said.

Konashenkov recalled that 28 days ago the Russian and Syrian aviation ceased their operations in Aleppo, in the eastern part of which some seven thousand members of the group Jabhat Fatah As Sham, former Al-Nusra and affiliated to the Al Qaeda network are dug in.

In her meeting with the press, the spokeswoman of the State Department considered that the alleged bombings are a violation of international law.

Moscow calls on Washington to honor the commitments made on September 9 in Geneva to eliminate the Al-Nusra extremist group jointly.
