The humanitarian organization said that they went to recover the bodies of the migrants after the residents of Zuwara informed the police about the bodies on the beach and in the water.

It is believed the migrants died when their boat sank as they were trying to cross the Mediterranean.

The dead include women, children and men.

Thousands of people from African and Asian countries embark from Libya trying to cross the Mediterranean to Europe, but their boats often capsize at sea.
