US President Donald Trump launched on Saturday verbal attacks against the head of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Democrat Elijah Cummings, a critic of the Republican President''s policies.

According to the Head of State, the legislator has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at at the great men and women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is far worse and more dangerous, he pointed out.

Trump tweeted that 'Cumming District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. His district is considered the Worst in the USA......'

The statements of the head of the White House occurred days after Cummings described the treatment of migrant children in detention centers in the Southern border as child abuse sponsored by the Government.

We have seen cases in which the US Administration has deported parents without their children, and up to now we have not reunited these families, the congressman expressed.

Cummings also questioned in a recent hearing in the Capitol to the US secretary in functions of National Security, Kevin McAleenan, on the conditions in the border facilities.

You feel like you're doing a great job, right? What does it mean? When a child is sitting in his own stool, can't he take a shower? He asked raising his voice.

None of us would have our children in such conditions; they are human beings, added Cummings, quoted by The Hill, which specializes in legislative issues.

McAleenan's appearance followed a report by the Office of the Inspector General of the Homeland Security Department that found 'dangerous overcrowding' and 'prolonged detention of children and adults' at several sites, the media recalled.

On the other hand, two days ago, the Oversight Committee authorized Cummings to inquire into the White House's records regarding an investigation into the use of email and text applications in official issues.
