On Wednesday, an explosion which occurred near the head office of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) claimed the life of at least one person and injured multiple other people, according to TASS.

Authorities have yet to issue any official comment about the blast that shook the northern city of Arkhangelsk. Details surrounding the incident remain undisclosed.

Reports state that only the first and second floors of the FSB were affected by the explosion.
In 2017, a gunman opened fire at one of the regional offices of the FSB, killing an employee and a visitor as well as injuring another person.
The attacker was killed.
