With the draw for the Champions League round of 16 made, here's a look at how the matches could go. Arsenal fans, look away now.

Bayern Munich vs. Arsenal

Arsenal finally finished top of their group for the first time in five years ... and still got one of the super clubs they always seem to draw. This will mark the fourth time they've been drawn against Bayern in five seasons. But is it the same Bayern? The Germans look vulnerable, while Arsenal look more convincing. But Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti, a three-time winner of this competition, has cup pedigree in getting his teams to come together at the right time.

Prediction: Bayern Munich

Paris Saint-Germain vs. Barcelona

The only tie as frequently drawn in the last few years as Arsenal vs. Bayern. This will also represent the fourth time they've met in the last five seasons. PSG have only won one of those games, in the 2014-15 group stage, but it still saw them finish second to Barca. Again, going by recent form, their poor record doesn't look like changing.

Prediction: Barcelona

Real Madrid vs. Napoli

It's been four years since the defending champions went out before the quarterfinals. As awkward a draw as Napoli represent for Real Madrid, that still should not change this season. Zinedine Zidane's side should have too much individual quality in the likes of the unstoppable Cristiano Ronaldo, but they might have to rely on it to get through. It should be an engaging clash.

Prediction: Real Madrid

Manchester City vs. Monaco

After a tough last few weeks and a lot of fear about who they could face after finishing second to Barcelona, Manchester City got probably the most forgiving draw they could get. That doesn't mean Monaco should be underestimated. They have already eliminated a Tottenham side that beat City this season, so Pep Guardiola's men will need to be on much better form than they have been.

Prediction: Manchester City

Benfica vs. Borussia Dortmund

Another in a series of ties between a good team and one who are that bit better. It should mean the two legs are entertaining, but not that unpredictable. Benfica, for example, should give Dortmund a lot to think about. Thomas Tuchel's side, however, look a level above. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang especially does.

Prediction: Borussia Dortmund

Porto vs. Juventus

For Benfica vs. Dortmund, read Porto vs. Juventus: a solid Portuguese side against a high-quality recent finalist. Again, the repeat Italian champions should have too much class and will continue their fine recent record in the competition.

Prediction: Juventus

Bayer Leverkusen vs. Atletico Madrid

Leverkusen have looked a canny side this season but at this point, Atletico surely have far too much Champions League experience to be caught by surprise. There's also the fact they so easily topped their group ahead of Bayern Munich, and they have a game-breaker like Antoine Griezmann.

Prediction: Atletico Madrid

Sevilla vs. Leicester City

This is not just a genuinely novel tie for the fact they've never met. It is also a proper contrast of styles, pitting a high priest of pressing in Sevilla's Jorge Sampaoli against Claudio Ranieri's counterattackers. Will Sevilla play into Leicester's hands and leave themselves open, or will their better form tell?

Prediction: Sevilla
