France and Cuba will realize a friendly basque pelota dual meet at 36 meters from March 13 to 17, reported today official sources.

The president of the Cuban Federation of Basque pelota, also called Jai Alai, frontis or fronton, Lázaro Ricardo Mendoza, said that for France, they will be the clubs of Tarbes and Reunión Island, while the hosts will present members of its national team.

The electronic message (e-mail) said, the teams will meet in the specialities of short spade and leather palette, in the courts of the Raul Diaz Arguelles Sports Complex, of the Caribbean capital.

Cuba will be represented by the world absolute champions of short spade in Mexico 2014 and bronze in Pau-2010, Frendy Fernández and Anderson Jardines.

Also, under -22 World Cups multi-medalists Johann Luis Torreblanca and Armando Chappi, as well as also junior players Yoel Zayas and Ronal Vega.

This will serve as preparation for the World Cup in September in Spain, qualifying round to the Pan-American Games of Lima 2019 and the absolute World cup of Barcelona 2018.
