Ambassador to answer questions on twitter about Cuba-US relations

On December 14, 2014, Cuba and the United States began a process of normalization of their relations after over fifty years of conflict. Since then, their respective diplomatic missions were re-established and officials from both countries have held several rounds of talks on topics such as human rights, migration, and postal service, among others, in which an atmosphere of respect has prevailed.

However, for Cuba a real normalization of relations implies the elimination of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the U.S., which is still in force, as well as the return of the territory illegally occupied by the Guantanamo Naval Base for more than a century.
