Caracas, Jun 11 (Prensa Latina) The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) has urged the Colombian people to reject the US military presence in Colombia.

In a manifesto addressed to Colombia on the occasion of the 207th anniversary of the War to Death Decree, on Monday, September 15th, the first vice president of the political organization, Diosdado Cabello, called for the unity of both peoples as an essential condition for emancipation.

The call recalls the ties that unite both people and refers to the Bolivarian ideas of a single America when recalling the phrase of the Liberator, Simón Bolívar, when he expressed: 'For us, the Homeland is (Latin) America.'

It also urges the Colombian people to speak out and reject the US military presence in the country in order to attack Venezuela, and stresses that these aggressions would affect the entire region and would intensify the Colombian internal conflict.

The document issued by the PSUV reiterates that allowing armed action against Venezuela would pave the way for an ignominious recolonization of Latin America, which would endanger the peace of the continent and the self-determination of the peoples.

'It is necessary in Latin America and the Caribbean to join efforts for a second independence that contributes to human emancipation and the salvation of the planet', the document expresses and calls on all peoples to firmly raise the flags of peace in rejection of the presence of American special forces on Colombian soil.

It also reiterates that Venezuela is irreducible and will defend the future to the last consequences, convinced that the battle of this country is to America, what was the Battle of Ayacucho, fought by the Latin American independence activists.
