Venezuelan Authorities Denounce New Sabotage to the Power Grid

Venezuelan authorities denounced this Saturday a new "criminal sabotage" against three towers of the National Electric System (SEN) in the state of Anzoátegui, located in the country's northeastern region.
The National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec), in a statement, explained that the collapse of the three transmission towers was recorded in the municipality of Juan Antonio Sotillo, part of the state of Anzoátegui.
The entity indicated that Corpoelec personnel were mobilized to the affected site with the task of initiating repair work to progressively and safely restore electrical service to the communities.

Corpoelec "informs the Venezuelan people that, this Saturday, November 15, the National Electric System (SEN) was the victim of a new criminal sabotage that has caused the collapse of three transmission towers in the municipality of Juan Antonio Sotillo in the state of Anzoátegui, with the intention of destabilizing an essential public service for the eastern people," the press release stated.
It affirmed that "this sabotage evidences the harshness of an unconventional war that threatens the well-being of our people. Nevertheless, Venezuelans continue to reaffirm, firmly and unequivocally, their conviction to be free and independent, advancing on their own path."
"We exhort the Venezuelan people to maintain confidence, sure that the dedication, commitment, and patriotic consciousness of our workers will guarantee the continuity and efficiency of the service that Venezuelans deserve," the statement concluded.
