Caracas, Nov 10 (Prensa Latina) The First Craft Beer Festival 2021 opened its doors today in Venezuela, as part of the Government's strategy to promote small and medium enterprises in pursuit of the country's development.

Respecting all biosecurity measures by Covid-19 and once the Executive authorized a continuous week of flexibilization before the arrival of the Christmas season, the Diego Ibarra square is the scenario of this event sponsored by the National Council of Productive Economy and the Ministry of that portfolio.

The purpose of the meeting is to promote and protect the national beer industry, one of the fastest growing in the country, the organizers announced, and also to promote a space for investment and entrepreneurship in this highly consumed sector.

This South American nation has a tradition in the production and consumption of this beverage, however, the market is dominated by large international conglomerates, which harm small and medium-sized independent producers, the report underlines.

However, according to the organizers, the idea is, more than anything else, to promote the emerging industry of genuine national beer, not to harm the large producers that contribute to the nation’s GDP.
