Caracas, November 1 (RHC)-- Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez confirmed this Sunday that the country reached 67 percent of the population vaccinated against the COVID-19 pandemic, which is an advance of the Vaccination Plan established from the Executive.

"Together we are advancing in the mass immunization campaign.  To date, we have reached 67 percent of those vaccinated and nine states, such as Táchira, Caracas and La Guaira, have surpassed the goal of 70 percent of those immunized," said Rodríguez.

Despite the illegal sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union, the South American country is making progress in the application of vaccines to the population and the management of more drugs.   "We are on our way to achieve the goal of 95 percent of Venezuelans vaccinated in 2021", said the vice president.

For his part, the Russian ambassador in Caracas, Sergei Melik-Bagdasarov, announced the departure of more than 455,000 doses of Sputnik V from Moscow to contribute to the fight against the pandemic in Venezuela.

The vice-president also detailed that from November to December, the nation enters into a state of open flexibilization.   "We insist on the call to the conscience and discipline of the people to get vaccinated and maintain the biosecurity measures," she added.

Rodriguez indicated that Venezuela registers 407,151 confirmed cases of Covid-19, as well as 11,603 active cases, 4,891 deaths and the number of recovered patients reaches 390,657, which is equivalent to 95 percent.
