Caracas, Sep 16 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela is moving towards a great educational revolution assured on Wednesday the head of State Nicolas Maduro regarding the start of the 2020-2021 school year through distance classes due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On Twitter, the president highlighted the reconditioning of the facilities of the Vive-TV channel to transform it 'into a modern multiplatform, adapted to the new times to revolutionize the Venezuelan Educational System,' he noted.

The television plant began on Wednesday the broadcasts corresponding to the educational programme 'Each Family a School,' with content designed to ensure the continuity of the teaching process in the midst of the epidemiological emergency.

In addition to the television program, the new school year will be developed through the use of social networks, print media, radio and other methods to guarantee the right to education in a safe way, indicated the Minister of Communication and Information Freddy Ñañez.

The minister reported yesterday that the Vive-TV and Venezolana de Television State channels will participate next Friday, September 18, in the annual assembly of the Latin American Network of Public Television Companies.

Venezuela will carry the proposal of how to make television in Covid-19 times, with a focus on informational and educational functions, the minister assured.

After an extensive process of national consultation to assess blended modalities of return to classes, Venezuela's government decided to apply the option of distance education to avoid new outbreaks of the novel coronavirus, with a balance up to date in the country of 62,655 Covid-19 cases and 502 deaths.
