Quito, Oct 18 (Prensa Latina) More than 200 works by the Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh are on display in Quito in a show where viewers can enter into the life of one of the main references of post-impressionism
With an immersive concept, the Imagine Van Gogh exhibition, created by artistic directors Annabelle Mauger and Julien Baron, is open to Ecuadorian audiences after visiting cities in France, Canada, the United States, and Argentina.
Mauger, who devised the first exhibition dedicated to the famous painter in 2001, now wanted to share a small part of France painted by Van Gogh as pieces corresponding to the last two years of his life, she said at the opening of the exhibition.
For the visual spectacle, the creators used advanced multi-projection and immersive audio techniques to add emotional depth to each image, making it possible to live and feel the artist’s creative energy.
The exhibition will be open for a month at the Iñaquito Shopping Center, inside a 1,000-square-meter structure created especially for the public to enter the artist’s dreams and admire his most important works in a different way, according to the organizers.
