Washington, Feb 22 (Prensa Latina) The headlines on Russia and Ukraine monopolize on Tuesday headlines of the US media, which persist in showing a biased view on the conflict in Donbass and demonize Moscow's position, according to analysts.

This has been the case for weeks, according to an analysis posted on MintPress website, which indicated that the most influential US media are determined to push for a possible war with Russia due to the disputes over Ukraine.

Op-ed columns in The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal reiterate support to send US weapons and troops to the region, while targeting Russia as an aggressor nation and glossing NATO’s role in escalating tensions, MintPress’ analysis concludes.

But almost nothing is mentioned in US and Western media about the concerns expressed by Russia and its statements that advocate for keeping the diplomatic track open in order to address the conflict in Donbass.

On Monday, President Vladimir Putin’s decision to recognize the independence of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk regions, send forces there in order to ensure security on the borders of those areas and protect peace, ignited again the paranoia of the Western press.
