Tehran, April 8, (RHC) -- Iran is still expecting to revive the nuclear deal in Vienna, although it is still waiting due to Washington's indecision and excessive demands.

According to Iranian authorities, everything has been planned and now it is up to the United States to decide, Foreign Minister Hosein Amir Abdolahian has claimed several times in the past month.

He thinks that the eight cycles completed in Vienna, Austria’s capital, from April 2021 up to now, reveal important progress in the negotiations, mainly regarding the lifting of unilateral sanctions imposed by Washington in 2018 after it withdrew from the nuclear deal.

Amir Abdolahian praised the diplomatic progress achieved up to now, claimed that the US still has to solve some pending issues and noted that a good deal could be attained only if Washington adopts a realistic approach.

Regarding the talks in Vienna between Iran and the Group 4+1 (the United Kingdom, France, Russia, and China, plus Germany), he said that they will succeed only if the other signatories want to.

The United States is indirectly participating in the talks due to its sudden and unilateral withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2018.
