US filmmaker Abby Martin presents a documentary in Cuba

Havana, Aug 26 (Prensa Latina) Renowned US documentary director Abby Martin on Friday will present in Havana the film "Gaza Fights For Freedom," which focuses on the conflict between Palestine and Israel, and recounts the collaboration with journalists inside the closed border.
The feature film premiered in 2019 while the journalist was reporting from the Palestinian strip when the Israeli Government denied her entry to Gaza under the accusation of propagandist and presents exclusive footage about the historic protests of the so-called Great March of Return.
After the exhibition, Martin will hold an exchange with the members of the Association of Cuban Journalists (UPEC) and will talk about her experience as an independent filmmaker, who has interviewed important figures and experts such as Chris Hedges, Noam Chomsky, Richard D. Wolff, Ralph Nader, and Jill Stein.
Martin, who is also the host of the series “Los Archivos del Imperio” (Empire Files), broadcast by Venezuela channel teleSUR, has made several highly acclaimed documentaries such as “The Occupy Wall Street Collaborative Film,” and her career includes several books that focus on her journalistic practice within the political system in the North American nation.
He is currently working on the production of a documentary about the environmental impact of the Pentagon’s military bases.
