UN Population Fund Regional Director visits Cuba

Havana, May 3 (RHC)--The regional director of the United Nations Population Fund for Latin America and the Caribbean, Harold Robinson Davis, arrived Tuesday in Cuba on an official visit in response to an invitation from the Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX) Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz.
According to a MINCEX note, Robinson Davis is accompanied by Alanna Armitage, UNFPA representative in Mexico and country director for Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
Both will carry out an extensive schedule that includes a high-level meeting to present the policies of attention to children, adolescents, and youth, the demographic dynamics, and the macro program of human development and equity and social justice.
According to the text, the visit will be an opportunity to express gratitude for the support offered by the organization to the fight against covid-19 in Cuba.
