Russia Reaffirms Support for Cuba and Rejects US Sanctions

The spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, reiterated today that Moscow is committed to maintaining the development of cooperation with Cuba for mutual benefit.

The Foreign Affairs official of the Eurasian giant reaffirmed that her country rejects and vigorously condemns the pressure and illegitimate sanctions imposed on Havana.

Commitment to Cooperation and International Stability
She added that Russia is committed to steadily developing cooperation and strengthening international stability. Zakharova emphasized that Washington systematically employs a strategy of maximum pressure against Cuba.
