Specialists from 10 countries visit Cuba-Russia firefighting center

Professionals from 10 countries attending the 11th International Congress on Disasters and the 7th International Conference of Firefighters visited the Specialized Training Institute Martires de la Calle Patria, located in Havana's La Lisa municipality.
The representatives of Bahrain, Belarus, Colombia, Cuba, El Salvador, the Russian Federation, Guatemala, Mexico and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, appreciated during their tour of the facility the development of the Cuban-Russian Regional Fire and Rescue Training Center.
A report from the Ministry of the Interior also noted that they appreciated the skills demonstrated in one of its classrooms on the specialties of vertical climbing, first aid and hydraulics and metrology.
Also in other areas of equipment and tools used in the training of students of the institution, created on July 11, 2014 with the purpose is to train rescue specialists and firefighters from Cuba and Latin America and the Caribbean.
The delegates to the 7th International Firefighters' Conference even observed an exhibition of means and techniques, the confined environment classrooms, navigation simulator and the smoke and temperature training complex.
Saltanat Tashmatova, Director of International Relations of the International Civil Protection Organization, praised the importance of the congress and the conference, which conclude today, since both events involve large-scale actions, where we can show our technologies and working methods.
