An artistic brigade from the Ministry of Culture, made up of actress Clarita García, known for her popular character of Professor Amalia in the tv series Calendario, together with oral narrator Leiris Guerrero (Tata Mora), singer-songwriters Ariel Barreiro and Raúl Torres, as well as the improviser Emiliano Sardiñas, give an embrace of solidarity in communities affected by the passage of Hurricane Oscar in the municipalities of San Antonio del Sur and Imías.

The Desembarco por Playita Secondary School and the camp for those affected by this meteorological event, located in the Jesús Lores settlement of the municipality of Imías, were visited during the artistic journey of this cultural brigade, whose creators dedicated Cuban verses and melodies to the inhabitants of this town, as well as poems that distinguished the television program Calendario, and also interacted with the children through playful and educational dynamics to liven up the day.

Likewise, during the journey through this territory, the president of the National Council of Houses of Culture, Diango González Guerra, visited the institution of the same name at the municipal level, and there he held a meeting with workers and art instructors of this center, as well as with the head of the cultural association in Imías, the visual creator Eduardo Enrique Núñez, who updated him regarding the recovery process of this facility and the attention of the sector to those affected by the hurricane.

Also as part of the visit of the Ministry of Culture Brigade through the municipality of Imías, the renowned improviser Emiliano Sardiñas exchanged with Arismeldo Pérez, founder of the emblematic group Nengón Imías, and with the director of this traditional music-dance group, Cristel Rodríguez at the Regino Eladio Boti House of Culture in this territory.

Likewise, the community of Macambo, belonging to the municipality of San Antonio del Sur, strongly impacted by Cyclone Oscar, welcomed the presence of this brigade from the Ministry of Culture, which left its mark of love and brotherhood on the demarcation with the premise of the healing nature of art.

The artists arrive in the chief town of this territory to the Máximo Gómez Báez Pre-University and also participate in the presentation that took place in the central park of this municipality, together with the Ballet Folklórico Babul Dance Company and the Carpandilla Circus Variety Company.
