Simón Bolívar Institute for Peace to be inaugurated in Venezuela

Caracas, Sep 6 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela will virtually inaugurate today the Simón Bolívar Institute for Peace and Solidarity among the Peoples, a center that will promote the study of the Liberator's thought and action.

Starting at 4:00 p.m. (local time), the launching of this initiative will be seen through the YouTube digital platform, in which political leaders, intellectuals and social movements participate.

According to a note on the Institute's web portal, the objective of this center is to counteract the growth of fascist and supremacist trends of some governments, as well as the strengthening of patriarchal, racist and discriminatory structures in contemporary society.

Through its channels in English and Spanish, and its digital platforms, the center will be a meeting space to support causes and the construction of a more just and balanced world, based on the Bolivarian ideal, the report refers.

The institute will promote Bolívar's thinking, its current status and validity, as well as its political references in the struggle for the unity of the peoples of Latin America.
