Shapes in Havana’s sky arise curiosity of Internet users in Cuba

The sunrise in Havana, Cuba, on Friday attracted the curiosity of dozens of Internet users due to the presence of unique shapes in the sky that caused astonishment and commotion on social networks.
Cuban Minister of Transportation Eduardo Rodríguez explained on Facebook that they are “condensation trails” formed tiny ice particles generated by the exhaust gases of a plane coming from Bogotá, Colombia, which could not land on the runway of the José Martí International Airport due to heavy fog, so it was diverted to Cancun, Mexico.
Rodriguez added that experts from the Cuban Air Navigation Company confirmed that these particles remain floating for a long time and cause the images that are circulating on digital platforms.
He stressed that Havana’s airport is already operating normally and more information on the event will be provided in the coming hours.
