Seventh regular session of Cuban parliament suspended

Esteban Lazo, President of Cuba's National Assembly of People's Power, on Tuesday announced the suspension of the 7th regular session of Parliament, given the complex health situation generated by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Such measure, adopted by the head of the Legislative, in use of the powers conferred on him in article 111, paragraph c) of the Constitution, was ordered 'taking into account the complex epidemiological situation as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic in the last few days and the need to contribute to the fulfillment of the measures approved for its fight.'
Therefore, I resolve to annul the call to the Seventh Ordinary Period of Sessions of the National Assembly of People's Power in its 9th Legislature, approved on June 24, 2021, Lazo informed through a communique.
Let inform this provision to the lawmakers of the National Assembly of People's Power, the agencies of the Central State Administration and other corresponding bodies and authorities, and publish in the Official Gazette of the Republic and other media for general knowledge, refers the text signed by the President of Parliament.
